Bremer Family Winery Sought Expanded Production and Visitor Use at 975 Deer Park Road in 2026

DEER PARK, Napa County — A winery along Deer Park Road sought significant changes to its operating permit in 2026, raising local questions about visitor traffic, groundwater, parking and access.

According to Napa County Planning Commission file 26-1337, the Bremer Family Winery requested permission to raise annual wine production from 15,000 to 50,000 gallons and annual visitation from 3,600 to 12,500 visitors. The proposed daily maximum of 70 visitors would remain unchanged.

The applicant also proposed limited annual marketing events, more employees, additional parking, updated wastewater treatment, changes to water storage and a new one-way driveway access connection to Deer Park Road.

Why the roadway exception matters

The request included an exception to a normal county road standard that would otherwise require a left-turn lane. Neighbors and officials reviewing the proposal therefore had transportation and emergency-access questions to consider along with water and environmental issues.

What happened at the county?

The item was continued from May 6 to a July 1, 2026 Planning Commission agenda. County staff recommended approval with conditions and adoption of a mitigated environmental document. However, the legislative page reviewed for this story showed no recorded final action in its displayed history.
